Currently only available on Apple devices, messenger kids™ is an extension from messenger with a new app.

Messenger Kids is a free video calling and messaging app designed for kids to connect with close friends and family from their tablet or smartphone. Kids can only connect with parent-approved contacts, which creates a more controlled environment. Group or one-on-one video calls with loved ones are more fun with interactive masks, reactions and sound effects.

The Facebook Creators app is actually a rebrand and update of the Facebook Mentions app launched in 2014 that was originally only available to verified public figures and Pages. Now the app is open to everyone. (Note: the Apple App Store still lists the app as “Mentions”… but that’ll likely change shortly.)

Facebook Creator app launched globally today on iOS, and will be rolling out to Android users in the coming months. The app is open to individuals on Pages or profiles.
